Comparisons between individual music videos and Junction promos

There were also many comparisons which I noticed from working on the music video individually and working on the Interaction video with a clear partner (Simon Bates).

Working individually on the music video meant that the only feedback I received was limited and it meant that everything I did was mostly my own thoughts as opposed to interacting with a partner. While I worked with a partner on the music video, it was not the same as the Interaction project because the partner here was very much giving his personal opinions on the project and what else I should do to meet his ideas.

Working individually on the music video.

Working with a partner (Simon Bates) and in a group of 3 for the Interaction project.

Also, what is also highlighted during the Interaction project is the skills I have developed further while working with a partner. For example, working with Simon Bates directly has meant that my negotiation skills have been boosted considerably as I have been able to put my points across, and explain key ideas and present and pitch for Simon for the project.

This is not something I had to do so much on the music video project because it was very much just working in a pair towards some set objectives and key things for the video.

My teamwork skills have also been boosted considerably throughout the interaction project because it has meant I have worked in a team, and working with someone creating a video as opposed to creating a video yourself is entirely different because of varying opinion. I have learnt to explain my opinions clearly and negotiate within the team, also to keep the team organised and motivated throughout the project.

Another skill that has been boosted due to the Interaction project as a whole is my communication skills. I am now able to put my points across clearly and argue a point if something I think could be done to make the project look better. I am also able to communicate with my partner in the project (Simon Bates) and can easily explain and discuss with him my ideas and methods of working.
