Audience feedback on Rough Cut

Today I received some feedback from other members of our class for our rough cut junction video, which should help us evaluate what the group need to do next along with the Bournemouth feedback. Philippa's response was that:

-Beginning cuts really good, quick cuts are really effective.
- Too much footage, not enough text or voice over - needed more text or a voiceover to make it interesting.
-Too many slow cuts towards the end - needs consistent cutting throughout.

On the whole I agree with this response, I began cutting really fast to match the music but then as time grew on I realised the group needed to get more footage done, hence the slow cutting at the end of the rough cut video. The text I had could have some more information on, especially while I noticed watching back, I need to mention the age group applicable. I think text on screen would be the best option as our group have interesting footage, but I will see the other feedback we receive, especially from Bournemouth and teachers.

Here is our feedback from Kirk.

- The junction Branding is very good
- well cut at start
- crowd shots are good but need more
- operation FM title needs putting on footage
- could to with more cut aways ath the end
£2 title is not long enough
- End title on black instead of white would be better
- Good music
-Good offstage band footage
- Some shots too bright
- change crowd shots when it says "Play to a crowd"

While at Bournemouth, we should just be acting on the feedback received which should hopefully be mostly constructive. We will need to speed up some cuts, have some more general information about the Fiver and how bands get involved, age restrictions etc, and mainly just to change what we need to after feedback. I think some more feedback from the class would be helpful just to see what the differences are, but the Bournemouth feedback as well as teacher feedback should be the most important in terms of acting on it.
