Comparison promotional video two

This video is very different to the previous video, although it features the same institution (Bournemouth) it features shots relating to a promotional video but features extensive interviews showing characteristics of a documentary. Something like this for the documentary group would be a great addition to their video, and would make the video a bit more interesting and not just a simple documentary.

The first shot you see is a shot establishing the institution. I still think after our revised rough cut we should add the junction branding very similar to this style, so it establishes the institution immediately.


One of the next shots you see is yet again, similar to the previous promotional video and our Junction promotional video, a shot of the equipment you could expect to work with if you studied at Bournemouth media school. Similar to our Junction video, we showed clips of the sound technicians, professional lighting, good crowd shots and stage shots so the bands watching knew what to expect if they played at the Junction.


This shot is very similar to the above one in which it establishes what students could expect from Bournemouth. Also, you can see the Bournemouth Uni personal logo in the top left hand corner throughout the video, which is the same as our video which features the same technique with the Junction branding.


A clear establishing shot of Bournemouth University also helps the audience to see what studying at Bournemouth Uni would be like. In our promotional video, we also have establishing shots of the Junction also help our audience to understand what it would be like if they played at a venue such as the Junction.


This shot shows what could happen to students if they graduated from Bournemouth media school. Perhaps something like this would be helpful in one of our promotional videos as kind of a what next? part, or maybe could even feature in the documentary to show what could happen if work related learning continues.

These interviews with the graduates of Bournemouth are an excellent way to attract future students, as they show what could happen after you graduate. They show excellent success stories and are a good incentive for people to study at Bournemouth University media school.
